I was raised on a family farm in Selma, CA. We grew Thompson seedless grapes mainly for raisins, peaches, nectarines, apricots, walnuts, and almonds. With all the different crops and varieties of them, the harvest season was a long one. Harvest for wine grapes is my favorite time of the year. I developed a love and appreciation for the land at a young age. I still miss just driving a tractor in the fields sometimes. I graduated from Fresno State with a degree in enology in 2001, and worked for Wild Horse winery from 2001 until 2008. I spent the 2008 crush working at CCWS in Santa Maria before moving to PRWS in early 2009. It has been a fabulous learning experience working with all the different clients and winemaking styles at the two facilities. I reside in Templeton with my wife Cyndi, daughter Rayne, and son River. Hobbies include spending time with my kids, backpacking, snow skiing, basketball, soccer and pretty much anything sports related and competitive.
